INTRODUCTION:
Dance is an art
of body movements that move in a rhythmic way which shows emotion, idea and
energy. Dance has an important place in Indian Culture. It can be performed on stage,
on screen, even on social media platforms. Dance gives mental peace and
physically fit. Dance connects different people and helps them to showcase
their emotions through their dance steps. Dance helps the brain to catch things
faster i.e.it makes our mind sharp to remember all things easily. There are various
forms of dance .India has origin 15 forms of dance. In India, there are
classical dances like BHARATNATYAM, KHATAK etc. India also have folk dances
like GHARBA, LAVNNI, BHANGRA which are performed in festivals.

1. Start your dance with simple steps
.Practice those steps regularly that will make you more confident.
2. Listen to the music carefully try to
feel the music this will make you dance well and will help to connect your
steps with music.
3. You can watch the steps on social
media observe the steps the facial expressions which will improve your steps
and body posture.
4. Sometimes steps will go tough you
will struggle but at that time just be patient and be positive practice it more
you will progress.
5. Last but most important enjoy your
dance, don’t doubt on yourselves, don’t compare with anyone, Just feel the
music and dance with your whole art.
There are various types of dance performed all over the world. Let’s see
types of dance;
Western or modern Dance:
1. BALLET –It is a dance started in ITALY and FRANCE. A lot of practice
is needed to be a Ballet dancer and it is performed on a classical music.
Ballet is performed in TUTU i.e. a short skirt worn by ballerinas.
2. JAZZ-It is an energetic and fun dance which was started in UNITED
STATES.
3. HIP-HOP-It is a freestyle dance performed mainly on street. It was
first started in NEW YORK.
5. CONTEMPORAY-It is an expressive dance style. In contemporary dance
there are comparatively less rules .It gives freedom to move in their own way.
